M.I Abaga, Okonjo-Iweala, Dangote, others collaborate for ‘Africa Straight Up’

 

Wondering what is the common ground between these personalities? Well BET and Africa.com have a new thing on the block tagged ‘Africa Straight Up’, an
inspiring
documentary that goes behind the headlines to delve deep into the rich, complex truths about contemporary Africa. An in-depth perspective at the story of Africa and Africans in the Diaspora, ‘Africa Straight Up’ features contributions from businessman, Aliko Dangote; economist, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; philanthropist and entrepreneur, Mo Ibrahim ; entrepreneur, Tony Elumelu and musicians, Lira (South Africa) and M.I . (Nigeria).

The documentary production team, Africa.com collected and curated stories from 12 African countries, showcasing many different sides of the African experience and exploring the developments taking place in African governments, technology, business and education.

Created, written and produced by Africa.com’s Teresa Hillary Clarke and directed by Jaime Puerta and Warren Adams the documentary will air simultaneously on BET (DStv Premium channel 129) and BET International on Sunday, May 10 at 7pm, and on BET2 Africa (DStv channel 135) at 7:40pm.
